Lynn, from Fife, faced off against The Governess - and won big

A Scots contestant on The Chase has won a staggering £31,500 alongside a fellow quizzer. The ITV favourite show, hosted by Bradley Walsh, returned at its usual time on Wednesday night, with a new group of hopefuls ready to take on The Chaser.

After James only scored £3,000 on the cash builder, he opted for the high choice going against Anne, and after a nail biting round took back £60,000 to the prize pot. Lynn went last, scoring £3,000 against the Chaser and securing her space in the final chase. In the end, it was enough, and Lynn and James took home an amazing £31,500 each. However, viewers at home were left shouting at their TV's asking how the pair managed their impressive cash prize.

A second added: "Haven’t got a clue how they won the 63k but fair play to them #TheChase," while someone else penned: "Not sure how they won that. Governor having a bad day #TheChase".
