The lights appeared to be moving in a loose pattern as they hovered over the city of Paterson this week—but there could be an Earthly explanation.
New York drone professional Victor Chu told the outlet that he thinks the lights could have been some sort of drone display practice.
Chu, the founder of the Sky Tech One drone videography company, said drones that take part in light shows are all synced together and controlled by a computer. He told PIX 11:"If you look at the video, you will see that they are maintaining a formation for the most part, even though it's kind of scrambled a little bit."
