A new Scream 6 promo teases the "end of the line" for several survivors. Serving as a direct sequel to 2022's Scream, Scream 6 will pick up with the survivors of the latest Ghostface killings leaving Woodsboro behind to start a new chapter of their lives in New York City, only to be hunted by a new Ghostface killer all over again. As is the case with every Scream movie, there is a lot of intrigue surrounding who Ghostface's latest victims will be.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Now, a new Scream 6 promo might provide some clues as to who Ghostface's next victims will be. Shared on the official Scream Instagram page, the short promo tracks along the NYC subway map and makes a stop for each character – Tara , Gale Weathers , Mindy , Kirby , Chad , and Sam – with a description that reads, "You’ve reached the end of the line." While Gale's death would likely be saved for at least the movie's midpoint, theories have also deduced what Scream 6's opening kill might be. The Scream 6 trailers include footage of franchise newcomer Samara Weaving, who plays a character named Laura, talking on the phone. This, as many know, is a signature part of Ghostface's routine for his opening kill scenes.
While Gale and Laura could be finding themselves on the wrong end of Ghostface's knife in Scream 6, there is also the major question of the Ghostface killer's identity. The new Scream 6 promo provides a hint as to who that might be, as Sam is assigned the knife emoji, which is just the latest clue she could be the one behind the mask and wielding Ghostface's signature weapon.
