They said it could even require them to shut off power for public safety in certain areas.Cal-Fire said crews have contained the vegetation fire that sparked yesterday evening. Firefighters stopped the spread at 20 acres. Crews have been monitoring the area in case they need to put out any hotspots or flare-ups. The fire has been stopped at 20 acres.
The high wind warning will be in effect until 5 p.m. Wednesday in the San Diego County valleys and mountains including the cities of Escondido, El Cajon, San Marcos, La Mesa, Santee, Poway, Julian and Pine Valley.
