Seattle’s offense has struggled. Is the solution playing a much worse defense than the Browns and Ravens?
The Seattle Seahawks passing attack has not been hitting the same heights this season as they were in 2022. Through 9 weeks they are 18th in team passer rating and expected points added, 19th in yards per game and 23rd in interception percentage. Those struggles have been especially apparent in their past two games against the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens. In that short stretch Geno Smith has a completion percentage of just 55 percent, passer rating of 65.
But, the main topic of discussion in regards to this defense has been the struggles of Forbes who has been notably been feasted upon by A.J. Brown twice this season. Coming out of Mississippi State, Forbes was viewed as a prospect who might take some time to fully develop but he tested well athletically so the appeal was there. Forbes got cooked by A.J. Brown on this play in a game in which he gave up 7 completions, 110 yards and a passer rating of 127.1 against.
