The funeral procession for Richmond K-9 officer Seara Burton will make its way into Marion County about 2:30 p.m. Monday.
The procession will travel along U.S. 40 as it enters the city and continues toward downtown along East Washington Street to North Illinois Street. The procession will then travel north to East 34th Street and enter Crown Hill Cemetery. "Drivers should expect significant delays in the late afternoon and during rush hour. Drivers are asked to yield the right of way to the procession and be patient as officers work to safely move the procession along," a statement from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said.
