He was last seen by his family in the Belfast area missing
Searches are currently ongoing for a missing man who is believed to have travelled to Ballintoy, Co Antrim.
Police are appealing for information in connection with man, whom they have not named or pictured at the request of the man's family. He is described as being 39-years-old, approximately 5 feet 8, with red hair and of thin build. He was wearing a blue raincoat and dark clothing.A PSNI spokesperson said: " at 9pm yesterday, Friday 9 September, but is believed to have travelled to the Ballintoy area where a search is currently ongoing.
"Anyone who may have seen anyone matching this description is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 591 of 09/09/22."In an update on Facebook they said: "Volunteers were tasked yesterday afternoon to the North Antrim coast to search for a high risk missing person. Searches continued through into late evening as a joint operation involving Community Rescue Service, RNLI, Coastguard Rescue Teams, PSNI and both Police and Coastguard helicopters.
