A 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged for his alleged involvement in the shooting of a nine-year-old girl outside her home in Sydney's south.
The young girl was shot in the hip during a suspected drive-by shooting at a home in Connells Point near Hurstville at about 5:50pm on July 8.He was then taken to Bankstown Police Station where he was charged with shoot at with intent to murder, conspire and agree to murder any person, possessing an unregistered unauthorised pistol in public and participating in a criminal group contributing to criminal activity.

Following the alleged attack the nine-year-old girl was given first aid treatment by police officers who were first on the scene before paramedics arrived and took her to Randwick Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.The girl's mother and two other children were present at the time of the shooting but were uninjured.Police charged the man with one count of shoot at with intent to murder and refused bail with the matter currently before the courts.
