Agriculture Victoria confirmed the outbreak at a farm in Euroa, less than a week after the first detection this year at another farm nearby. The virus strain is different from the one that affected a poultry farm in New South Wales last year.

"Our other farms across Victoria are operating under Agriculture Victoria guidelines, with the same strict biosecurity protocols we have in place across all properties," he wrote in a statement.
