A man has been charged over the alleged abduction and stabbing of a person driving a rental car - the second incident in one week to rock Melbourne.
Victoria Police received a call from a car hire company on Sunday about 9:40pm to report a silver Hyundai had been stolen on Mitchell St in Northcote.
The stolen Hyundai continued to travel on its flat wheels before crashing into a parked car, as the driver and his three teen passengers fled from the scene.A number of weapons were allegedly found in the car. The incident had eerie similarities to the one less than a week ago in Glen Huntly where a schoolboy was allegedly abducted and stabbed as he was walking home from school. Picture: Wayne Taylor
