The kitchen: a disaster, smears, dirt, thick grease in the oven, in the fridge. Mess on the carpet, the bedrooms terrible. And they just sit there in the living room, watching TV, while I clean up around them. I’m thinking to myself: Why would you live like this? How could you let it get into such a mess? Thick dirt was everywhere.
But not everyone’s that bad. Some tidy up before I arrive, which I appreciate, but many don’t bother. But then that’s okay, that’s what I’m here for after all: to clean. Everybody wants to have their houses cleaned these days, but they don’t have time to do it themselves. Of course, when I was young, my mum did everything, and she had five children, but I guess it’s just a different way of life now. We outsource.
