Analyst accuses Anthony Albanese of being ‘spectator’ rather than leader as he warns ‘high chance’ of terror attack this year
On Monday night, he doubled down on those claims during an interview with Sky News host Chris Kenny, saying there had been a “build up” of extremist sentiment in the country during the last 14 to 15 months. “So I think that's a very high chance that we're going to see a really serious case of terrorism at some point in the next 12 months.”It was revealed on Monday counter-terrorism police have been brought in to investigate one of the incidents which occurred in Newtown, with fears a type of accelerant may have been used in the attack.
“Even with the graffitiing of a synagogue just over the end of last week, you know, the absence of federal political leaders, the Prime Minister being a spectator rather than a leader of attempts to push back against this type of behaviour,” he said.
