Officers with the Houston Police Department are investigating what led to the fatal shooting of a security at Club Onyx Wednesday. kprc2 click2houston hounews
Officers said when they arrived at the scene, they located a security guard that had a gunshot wound to the torso. The security guard was transported by an ambulance but later died at the hospital, HPD said.
According to HPD, it was reported that a man at the club had an argument over his girlfriend. Police said a security guard asked him to leave. The suspect pulled out what officers believe was a rifle and started to leave the location but returned, HPD said. Police said another security guard stepped out into the street where the suspect’s car was at. That’s when investigators said the suspect fired a shot, hitting the security guard. The suspect then fled the scene, officers said.Investigators said the suspect has not been identified at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
