Liverpool v Real Madrid: Champions League final kick off delayed by 'security reasons'
As kick-off approached, large areas of empty seats could still be seen inside the ground.
Police outside the ground fired tear gas as a small number of fans tried to climb over security barriers. The opening ceremony started at just after 20:20 BST before the game finally got under way 16 minutes later.
