After the war, he became the director of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. He was 62 when he died at his Princeton home in 1967 and was memorialized on the Princeton campus.
The movie about the theoretical physicist and the Manhattan Project, scripted by Nolan, is due out next year and based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning 2005 book “” by Martin J. Sherwin and Kai Bird. Murphy, 45, has been working with the Oscar-nominated Nolan since “Batman Begins” , as the Scarecrow in his Dark Knight trilogy.
