But in a new video dubbed a “Mahagony Session,” the actress and singer joins Will Taylor and Nicolas Hill in Taylor’s Northeast London flat on a round of the song.
With Pugh, the trio sit at a table, Taylor’s record collection behind them, as they perform the track, first with Taylor and Hill playing acoustic guitar and singing the verses. Then Pugh joins them on the chorus and quickly gets over any jitters she may have felt. She also joins them in a second verse: “I’ve been feeding you fear/You’ve been keeping me thin/I’ve been trying my best to feel you near/Without me disappearing.” It ends with the three singers all singing in harmony, a cappella.
