This week, kids across Greater Manchester will rejoice as schools close for the summer holidays, if they haven't already.- and whether you agree or not - that doesn't mean we don't still look fondly back at some of our schooldays, particularly the friends and fantastic teachers we remember. With school gates across the region closing as the academic year draws to a close, we have delved into the photo archives to find 50 photos showing teachers and pupils down we may recognise from our own schooldays.These nostalgic photographs, many taken by M.E.N. photographers, show pupils, teachers, and other vital members of staff in classrooms, playgrounds, corridors and on school trips.
