A Senate Committee into foreign interference through social media said TikTok 'was reluctant to provide witnesses' and 'evasive in their answers' when it was grilled over its collection and access to Australian data.
The recommendations released on Tuesday formed part of a Senate inquiry that examined foreign interference through social media.
The Chinese-based company fronted the joint standing committee earlier this month where it was grilled over its data collection The report stated TikTok "was reluctant to provide witnesses sought by the committee" and"evasive in their answers" when they finally agreed to appear.
