"It's incredibly difficult, and it begins with smashing a whole lot of the narrative, certainly stereotypes, about Indigenous Australians," Ms Price said. The pair's entry would mark the first time the jurisdiction has been represented in the senate by two Indigenous women.Ms McCarthy, a former NT Government children and families minister, has been in the role since 2016.
