The targeted attack in Sydney’s southwest left one man lying in a suburban park with gunshot wounds to his head and torso.
Two men have been shot in a targeted attack in Sydney’s southwest, leaving one lying in a suburban park with gunshot wounds to his head and torso.
Commander Grant Healey said police believe the incident was targeted but not gang-related, describing the shooters as having “a reckless disregard for everybody’s safety”. Healey said one man was in surgery in a serious condition. The other is in a stable condition. They are not related to each other.
“A man in his late 50s exited the house. He was hit by an object by an unknown person, and then the house was deliberately lit shortly after,” he said. “It’s the proximity and time, and we’ve got information that makes us think they may be linked.”
