Serena Williams was forced to watch on in horror as an old Instagram video came back to haunt her on the big screen at the Australian Open. AusOpen serenawilliams

The American champion moved through to the third round with a 6-2 6-3 win, but was forced to dig deep in the second set to topple Tamara Zidansek in a match where Williams pumped herself up with repeated outbursts of screaming at the end of big moments.

But the post-match interview with Jim Courier hit Williams harder than anything Zidansek could throw at her, as the American tennis great conspired with Channel 9 to embarrass Williams by playing a video of the 38-year-old taken from Instagram.

Williams knew it was coming, but still wanted to find a place to hide out on Rod Laver Arena when Courier rolled the clip of the dance routine.“It’s also clear that you had fun in your pre-season. You had a nice camp. Coco Gauff was around with you guys in South Florida. You guys did something unique as far as what I’ve seen with a routine in your training. I think we have a little vision, maybe you could walk me through what we’re seeing here.

When the video showed Williams performing an acrobatic kick, she cringed and buried her head into her hands.
