Tamara Zidansek has no singles titles to her name, but for a period on Rod Laver Arena, she pushed Serena Williams to the brink.
Serena Williams is into the third round of the Australian Open after a 6-2, 6-3 victory over unheralded Slovenian Tamara Zidansek, but it was not as simple as the scoreline would suggest.
With scores tied at 1-1 in the second set, Williams had four break points, but the 22-year-old underdog held her nerve and fought them all off to stay on serve. The American was visibly frustrated by her opponent's refusal to be broken and in the next game, she started screaming at herself to try and pump herself up after winners.
