ServiceNow NOW President CJ Desai on Wednesday said the company will develop customized large language models for data using Nvidia NVDA software, services and infrastructure. He was joined onstage at ServiceNow’s developers conference by Nvidia Chief Executive Jensen Huang. “This is a gigantic moment for the computer industry,” Huang said of the impact of generative artificial intelligence.
Underscoring his point, Desai showcased uses of AI technology being tested at Starbucks Corp. SBUX for situations when coffee is ordered from the wrong location. The bot offers the options of providing an instant refund or transferring the order to the proper location.On Wednesday, the cloud-computing company said it would invest $1 billion in its venture-capital arm by 2026 to back enterprise-software startups in AI and automation.
ServiceNow is expected to haul in $8.8 billion in sales this year, according to analysts polled by FactSet.
