Seven careless and dangerous drivers who risked lives on Lancashire's roads
Each week, innocent lives are lost or changed forever due to the actions of careless or dangerous drivers.
Aqib Nawaz, 25, sped off from officers when they signalled for him to stop in Preston Old Road, Blackburn, shortly after midnight on June 26, 2022. Hitting speeds of up to 50mph in a 30 zone, Nawaz, of St Mark's Road, Blackburn, drove through Spring Lane and Griffin Street. Alan Greenhow, 38, was banned from driving when officers clocked him behind the wheel of the X6 on Dickson Road, Blackpool. The police followed Greenhow into the store car park and blocked him into a parking space.
Jordan Whyte, 20, had only owned the Seat Ibiza for a month when he lost control on a bend in Old Toms Lane, Stalmine, on October 14 last year. Accident investigators concluded he was driving between 61mph and 66mph in the 30mph zone when he crashed.
