“Venus Williams has withdrawn from the Australian Open due to an injury sustained at the ASB Classic in New Zealand,” the tweet said.Williams earned a wildcard entry to the main draw of the ASB Classic in Auckland and suffered a 6-3, 2-6, 5-7 loss to Lin Zhu in the round of 16 on Thursday.
