Several Bay Area roads remain closed amid winter storm damage
The powerful storm that dropped rain and hail and turned many Bay Area hills into a snowy wonderland Friday, has moved on, but the pain lingered for drivers Saturday as several roads in the region remained closed due to downed trees and powerlines.
In Sonoma County, on Highway 35, all lanes from Highway 84 to Highway 9 are closed because of downed trees and downed powerlines. The northbound and southbound lanes of Highway 9 from Redwood Gulch Road to Highway 35 are closed due to downed trees and hazardous road conditions.
