A stunning one-mile stretch of sandy beach edged by 100-foot cliffs, less than an hour south of San Francisco, is set to become a public park.

Once the home of"Wicked Game" singer Chris Isaak, and later troubled by litter and late-night parties, Tunitas Creek Beach will soon be open to beachgoers after the San Mateo Board of Supervisors voted to green-light a $11 million construction project there this week.

The beach and small home on a bluff atop the cliff were reportedly bought by a trust associated with longtime San Francisco resident Isaak in 1998 for $3.1 million. In recent years, the beach saw some boisterous all-night parties that included stereos systems, fireworks and a lot of littering, according to the

Chris Isaak, seen here with a dog, owned the coastal property in San Mateo County until 2017, records show.The property was sold by the trust to the Peninsula Open Space Trust in 2017 for $5 million, after which plans to make it a public park were first set in motion.
