A San Francisco woman who fell off a roof and died during Fleet Week has been identified, officials confirmed.
A San Francisco woman who died after falling off a roof during Fleet Week was identified on Wednesday by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner as Patricia Hamon. On Saturday, police officers found Hamon, 51, unresponsive on the 2900 block of Van Ness Avenue in the Russian Hill neighborhood, the San Francisco Police Department told SFGATE. Despite efforts to resuscitate her, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
representatives do not suspect foul play was involved and said her death remains under investigation. Fleet Week, which takes place in the Bay Area every October, is generally a time when residents gather to have parties on rooftops to watch planes fly overhead – but it can also be hazardous, San Francisco Fire Department spokesperson Lt. Mariano Elias Jr., told SFGATE.
