Australian sporting icon Shane Warne has died of natural causes, the autopsy has revealed. The cricketing legend's body will now be returned to Australia on Tuesday.
Warne’s family and Australia’s ambassador to Thailand Allan McKinnon were informed of the result, a deputy national police spokesman said.
The sporting icon’s body will be driven back to Bangkok before being flown back to Australia on Tuesday ahead of his state funeral which is expected to be at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. On Monday police released further details about the discovery of Warne’s body and the desperate scramble to save his life.
Warne’s children Jackson, Summer and Brooke have also released statements as they grieve the loss of their father.
