Linda Reynolds' lawyer Martin Bennett has accused Brittany Higgins and David Sharaz of mocking the senator's health as he delivered his closing remarks at the Western Australia Supreme Court.
A message from David Sharaz , calling Linda Reynolds an"awful human" was read out to court, as lawyers for both parties delivered their closing remarks. Linda Reynolds ' lawyer Martin Bennett has accused Brittany Higgins and David Sharaz of mocking the senator's health as he delivered his closing remarks at the Western Australia Supreme Court.
Martin Bennettt responded to the defence claims the senator already had a damaged reputation before the social media posts were published. She said calling her a"lying cow" and holding a private meeting with her in the same room she was allegedly raped indicated examples of harassment.Rachael Young also noted that Senator Reynolds' health concerns were already present - dating back to 2018.
"Not only to defend my reputation, but also to get the truth out there and to stop the publication of things that are not true," she said.
