Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has welcomed Vanuatuan Prime Minister Ishmael Kalsakau in the House of Representatives during Question Time, stating the two nations share “democratic values” and security interests.
“This is the first time a prime minister of Vanuatu has made an official visit since 2018,” Mr Albanese said during the opening of Question Time on Wednesday.
“Today, we were able to make great progress on some of our shared priorities, including progress in sectors such as infrastructure, cybersecurity, and trade, and agriculture. “We are partners, equal partners, guided by a shared commitment to a prosperous, peaceful and resilient Pacific.”
