The film is based on Bernard Waber's best-selling book series.
The story follows the Primm family moving to New York City. Their young son Josh struggles to adapt to his new school and new friends. So what do you do? Become friends with a singing crocodile called Lyle , of course!
Lyle loves baths , has an expensive taste in the form of caviar and great music and lives in the Primm's attic. However, when Lyle's existence is being threatened by an evil neighbour Mr Grumps , the two friends, alongside Josh's parents, must band together with Lyle's charismatic owner, Hector P Valenti , to show the world that family can come from the most unexpected places and there's nothing wrong with a big singing crocodile with an even bigger personality.
This first look showcases how charming the movie could be, and with the talent of Pasek and Paul and the voice of Mendes, it won't be a surprise if it is a success.
