Kiernan Shipka, child actor made good, is riding a purple patch into her new romcom, Sweethearts.

“I mean, I feel super lucky that my circumstances were what they were,” she says. “I love what I do, and I got to come into this line of work just from a place of joy and love, and I never felt pressure to keep doing it. I think because I never really felt pressure that I had to do it, my love for it grew stronger and I was able to sort of take my time.“And my family is pretty wonderful,” she adds. “They’re my rocks.
