Jonathan Wade Copeland, 39, of Maylene, has now been arrested more than a half dozen times since 2017 on the same charges. He is listed as a convicted sex offender in the state registry.
A Shelby County man is under arrest after authorities say he exposed himself to a young woman at an apartment complex in southern Jefferson County.
Copeland is charged with indecent exposure and third-degree burglary. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail Sunday and released Monday after posting $30,000 bond. Alabama law defines the crime as: “with intent to arouse or gratify sexual desire of himself or of any person other than his spouse, he exposes his genitals under circumstances in which he knows his conduct is likely to cause affront or alarm in any public place.”
