A person was fatally shot Thursday morning during an apparent road rage incident in northwest Harris County, according to a tweet from Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

Deputies were flagged down around 11:02 a.m. to the 13900 block of Hollister Road on the main lanes of the Sam Houston Tollway and found the passenger of a car with gunshot wounds, according to HCSO. The person was pronounced dead at the scene.units are responding to Hollister & the Beltway. Preliminary: a road-rage shooting may have occurred on the main lanes of the tollway. A passenger in the victim’s vehicle was struck and has been pronounced deceased at the scene.
