Sherwin-Williams recently agreed to pay $1 million to settle claims involving allegations of being part of a scheme to defraud a federal program that is supposed to help disadvantage businesses, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office in Pennsylvania.

The case revolved around a decade-old $42.7 million bridge painting project in Philadelphia in which the contractor and a sub-contractor pleaded guilty to criminal charges in 2016 and 2017, the announcement said.
