The closure comes after the machinery that made the waves kept breaking down
The world's first inland surf lagoon has closed down. In a statement online bosses at Adventure Parc Snowdonia in North Wales said they were 'bitterly disappointed'.
A 'mechanical failure' in August last year led to it being announced the waves at the surf lagoon would be switched off for the rest of 2022. They have also not been able to run the waves this summer.A statement on the Adventure Parc Snowdonia Facebook page said: "It's with a heavy heart that we announce the immediate closure of our Parc. To all who've been part of this journey we're truly sorry.
Refunds are available for anyone with tickets and vouchers can be used at the Hilton Garden Inn Snowdonia and Wave Garden Spa, which remain open.
