The video, taken on Friday morning, appears to show motorists driving through a red light just as an elderly pedestrian attempts to cross the Leith road.
The narrow miss at Dalmeny Street was caught on film at around 8.57am on Friday, September 29. The clip shows the lady at the crossing when the vehicle appears to swerve around her as it goes through a red light at the pedestrian crossing.
Three cars go on to ignore the red light in front of them the woman seems undisturbed as she walks in between the motorists. Sharing the video on X, formerly Twitter, user Mithotyn said: “We got another problem at the junction with Dalmeny Street, drivers going through the red light with green man for pedestrians. It was a close call for the lady trying to cross.”While another added: "Unfortunately I’m on crutches at the moment, I stood yesterday to cross to get a tram to an appointment and couldn’t believe how many drivers went through the red light even when I was hobbling across… it’s not great.
