A group of youths have been filmed abusing and assaulting pub patrons in Alice Springs just days after community leaders cried out for more action to curb the embattled town's crime spree.
The disturbing scenes were captured by a guest staying above The Diplomat Hotel on Gregory Terrace in the CBD on Saturday night. showed a group of Indigenous girls yelling abuse through the fence of a pub as patrons sat in the beer garden.
In other footage a young male youth can be seen appearing to taunt another male patron before the pair trade blows. “Police struggle to apprehend anyone — they run as soon as they see them. I feel sick to my stomach seeing this and also having to stay here! Not much sleep — one of the most frightening nights of my life. It went on all night long!”
