BREAKING: Passengers have been evacuated from Love Field in Dallas after reports of an active shooter.
DALLAS — A shooting Monday morning at Dallas Love Field Airport prompted the evacuation of several passengers.
During a press conference about 12:15 p.m. Monday, Dallas Police Department Chief Eddie Garcia said prelimary information shows that a woman in her late 30s exited a restroom just before 11 a.m. and began firing a gun in the air near a ticket counter. It does not appear anyone was hit. A police officer fired a shot at the woman, striking her in the leg. Passengers took to social media before noon to report that the TSA had gotten them out of the airport.

TSA did a great job.The Dallas Police Department in a tweet said the terminal is secure.— Dallas Police Dept A TSA spokesperson just after noon said that the agency was working to get passengers through security and out of the heat. She additionally said travelers should check with their airline prior to departure because flights will be impacted.
"We’re aware of law enforcement activity at Dallas Love Field. We’ve paused departures and arrivals as we wait for additional information from authorities. There’s no greater priority for us than the safety of our Employees and Customers. We appreciate your patience."
