The retail workers union is pleading with the public not to ask retail workers to re-live the Bondi Junction attacks as retail stores re-open today.
The public are being urged not to ask retail workers at Bondi Junction to re-live Saturday's attack.The retail workers union said it will continue to support workers who are too traumatised to return.
Mr Smith said the union has been working with retailers and the government to make sure workers are looked after."It's been very emotional, what has happened, and the last thing they need is a financial impact as well," he said. The supermarket received early access to the building to re-stock shelves ahead of opening at 9:30am today.
"When this stops in the news cycle, in the weeks and months ahead when some of these things might come back to people in different ways, things might build up," he said."The assistance must remain there for a long period of time to deal with what has been a really traumatic incident of a whole industry."
