An eagle-eyed shopper spotted that ASDA's own-brand blocks of butter cost £2.15 each
Shoppers have taken to social media to complain about ASDA 's butter pricing, and have said that they would rather opt for a cheaper alternative elsewhere.
This comes amid soaring food inflation, which hit 16.2 percent in October. Facebook users stated that they used to be able to get ASDA butter for just 49p in 2021. One commenter said: "Don't buy it... if shoppers refused to pay this, the supermarkets would be forced to reduce their prices."
