Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker is enlisting the National Guard to help transport students to school as the state manages a bus driver shortage at the start of the 2021-22 school year

Ninety National Guard members will start training Tuesday to assist with school transportation in several cities around the state, the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security said Monday. Up to 250 National Guard members are now on hand to help with the efforts, it said.
