Bill Shorten has claimed he never met a Labor senate candidate who shared an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory online, despite being pictured with him. 9News

Wayne Kurnorth shared a post in 2015 that claimed the world is being run by a society of Jewish shapeshifting lizards. He has since been disendorsed by the Labor Party in the Northern Territory.

When asked about the comments by reporters in Adelaide, Mr Shorten said you could not compare Mr Kurnorth to now-sacked Liberal candidate for Isaacs Jeremy Hearn.“This fellow, who I haven't met, who was in the Northern Territory Senate ticket, I don't think... anyone is contrasting that with the complete Islamophobia of the Liberals. But nonetheless, not appropriate. Gone," Mr Shorten said.
