The author of a review into maternity deaths in Shropshire says families have since been ignored by the trust.

A hospital trust has ignored families affected by failures that contributed to the deaths of more than 200 babies, a senior midwife has said.

In response, Louise Barnett, trust chief executive, said they were grateful for the feedback and had been working hard to ensure services were safe.at least 201 babies and nine mothers might have survived with better care.after they contacted her to say they had heard nothing from the trust since. “It was the trust’s job to engage with these harmed families, you know, 1,500 families, but now this relationship building, this building of trust will have to be done with me acting as a bridge between families and the trust," she said.
