Col8ers continue to watch and report on the signs of the land
Signs are with us still. Col8ters are spotting and sharing signs from around the country and the world. David Davies of Drummoyne reports , “I spotted a sign in East Perth that read ‘Give Way to Pedestrians’ but someone official had added a 9, altering the message to read ‘Give Way to 9 Pedestrians’. Watch out number 10.” Perth is an interesting place, it seems now they decimate their pedestrians.
Kent Mayo of Uralla offers, “On a car wreckers’ yard in San Francisco ‘The Fat Lady Sang’, and, in Ireland, on an overnight delivery van ‘The Next Day Everyday’, which seemed a good excuse for failure to deliver.” Now historically, Nick Bocock of Kiama reports that, “My 1970s high school class got a laugh entering our classroom one afternoon – the previous class had produced anti-smoking posters, which were hung around the walls to dry. The poster that stood out declared ‘Death can kill’” . Col8 thinks there’s something in that for all of us.
