Silverstone-based team Aston Martin hit the track at home of British Grand Prix on Wednesday as part of testing. Brazilian reserve driver Felipe Drugovich, who continues his development programme with the outfit, took to the track.
Drugovich took the 2021-spec AMR21 around the Silverstone Circuit, completing an unspecified number of laps after rain-affected proceedings at the British Grand Prix venue reports the Formula 1 website.It follows from a test at the same Northamptonshire track – located next to Aston Martin’s new factory – in November when Drugovich debuted in F1 machinery and completed more than 300km of running to secure his Super Licence.
"We had a few issues, especially with the weather today but also a few issues with the car, which wasn't ideal. But it is what it is. We got a few laps done in the end which was nice."
