Arguably the most anticipated red carpet of the year is the Met Gala. And ever since 2019's theme, "Camp: Notes on Fashion," was announced this past October, we were certain that this year's big event was going to bring out some of the wildest and most outrageous looks we've seen in some time.
We were right. Tonight, was all about excess. From crystal-embellished and glitter-glazed eyelids, to gigantic hair and floor-length braids, to fantasy lashes of all sorts, the stars were nothing short of exaggerated—in the most glorious way possible. Lady Gaga may have had a number of red carpet outfit changes, but this glorious beauty look stayed consistent: her version of the foiled eyelash trend. Laverne Cox's getup might have felt dark and mysterious, but beauty-wise? She was a literal ice queen, rocking crystal blue lids that matched her slicked-down hair. Ashley Graham took home the award for best ponytail with this Gucci x Dapper Dan look.
