Simone Biles is sick and tired of being asked about the future US gymnast Simone Biles has called on reporters to allow athletes to ‘soak up the moment’ rather asking ‘what’s next’ after they win medals at the Olympics. Biles has been one of the stars of this summer’s Games, with the 27-year-old clinching her third gold in Paris as she took the vault title in emphatic fashion on Saturday.
And this morning, an agitated Biles took to X, formerly Twitter, to blast journalists and broadcasters for repeatedly asking her and her fellow competitors exactly the same question when they win medals. ‘You guys really gotta stop asking athletes what’s next after they win a medal at the Olympics,’ Biles wrote.
