The Republic of Singapore Air Force acknowledges it could have been responsible for a loud boom heard across Perth's southern suburbs on Wednesday, which sent social media into a frenzy.

Singapore says the noise was unexpected as the aircraft was "far out to sea", but adds that findings indicate the noise could have come from the aircraft.Share article Emergency services are at a loss to explain a large boom that rattled windows across a huge swathe of suburbs in Perth's south.
